CAD LOGIK - last week before Christmas - Group Prof. Dendra

We will have CAD-Logik in the last week before the Christmas break on Friday the 19th of December.

For the once who made already travel arrangements and will not be in Dessau please let me know ASAP by email.

the class will run until 12:00

In the early morning session I would like some of the groups to present the progress of the work.

There will be another session in the afternoon where you can ask specific questions regarding techniques etc.

The timeframe for the afternoon session will be announced in the morning.

CHANGES TO SCHEDULE!!!!

Since some of you have another course in the morning at 8.30am we will need to move this session into the evening after the studio time!!!

So the new schedule is as follows:

4.15pm - 5.45pm CAD LOGIK 1

6.15pm - 7.45pm CAD LOGIK 2

Due to some changes in my time schedule CAD LOGIK will be moved this week to Thursday!

There will be 2 alternative times:

1) Thursday 8.30am - 10am

2) Thursday 4.30pm - 6pm

We will meet next week at 8.30 in the big foyer (main entrance DIA).

Please check this blog again Tuesday evening on order to check if there will be any modifications to the starting time.

Your task for next week (no group work - each of you should do this individually):

Choose between one of these 20x20 models: 1 (not the round model) , 7 or 17

The models are still on display in the workshop. So please go into the workshop and make the documentations you will need in oder to finish the task successfully.

Build a 3D model (in Rhino3D) of the model that you picked.

It does not need to be an exact copy but try to capture the essentials of the model.

The model should be a surface model with no thickness. It can be one single surface or a polysurface model.

Please bring along the 3D model and 2 perspectives printed out on 2 A4 sheets.

The perspectives can be either a simple screenshot or a rendered model.

Its up to you and your skills.

Also dont forget to bring your laptops.

Since some of you spend a lot of time and thoughts putting together the 20x20 model we decided to give each group a grade in order to appreciate your hard work.

It is an indication for you to understand how you are performing in the course.

Thanks to all of you for the exciting model that you handed in.

According to the second model we divided the model-groups into two parts. One part will continue with Prof. Pinkau the other part will continue with Prof. Dendra.

We will discuss with you in the next session why we have chosen the models accordingly.
